What is Smart Lens?

The focusing capacity of the eye is ensured at 70% by the corneal layer and at 30% by the natural lens. But with age, the ability to focus decreases. For this reason, with aging, some people may have difficulty seeing clearly near or far and may need auxiliary tools such as glasses or contact lenses.

Smart lens treatment is a new technology used in the treatment of vision problems such as hypermetropia, myopia and astigmatism. Lenses are intraocular lenses that have three foci. Thanks to these three focalizations, it offers vision without glasses at distant, medium distances (such as looking at the computer and the phone) and close (such as reading). This treatment is a permanent solution that can eliminate the need for glasses or contact lenses.

How Is Smart Lens Treatment Performed?

  1. Eye Examination: An ophthalmologist or eye surgeon will examine your eyes to determine if smart lens treatment is suitable for you.
  2. Surgical process: It is performed using a lens placed directly in the eye. Each eye lasts about 10 minutes and is performed on different days. The procedure is usually performed under local anesthesia, so usually a painless procedure.
  3. Placement of the Smart Lens: During the surgical procedure, a small incision is made in the eye and the smart lens is placed in the correct position inside the eye. Then, the incision is closed with stitches.
  4. Recovery after surgery: After the operation, the eye is bandaged, the patient can usually go home on the same day, and the bandage is removed after 2 hours. The patient begins to see on the same day, but the full recovery period may take a few days or weeks. The use of medications and eye drops recommended by the ophthalmologist will be effective in the healing process.

Who Is Eligible For Smart Lens?

In general, the treatment of smart lens is suitable for the following people:

  1. Who suffer from myopia (blurred far vision), hyperopia (blurred near vision), astigmatism or age-related eye problems,
  2. Who have the measurement of the eye that has not changed for a period of at least 1 year,
  3. Who are at least 21 years old
  4. Who have healthy eyes with no history of eye diseases, infections, or injuries,

Healing Process After The Treatment Of Smart Lens

After surgery, it is usually recommended to rest and wait in the hospital for a while for your eyes to be examined. It is normal to have a slight tingling sensation, blurred vision and watery eyes for the first few days. This process is usually completed within a few weeks according to the doctor’s recommendations, although this process varies by individual.

Hair Transplantation
FAQ?

You can find out what you wonder about Hair Transplant when you examine it. 👇

There are 2 factors in determining whether you are a candidate for hair transplantation. While the first of these factors is the amount of hair you have lost, the second one is the amount of donor hair to be transplanted to the area where the hair loss occurs.

Hair transplantation is an aesthetic surgical procedure performed by plastic surgeons in hospital operating rooms under local anesthesia.

The duration of hair transplantation varies depending on the area to be transplanted and the amount of hair transplantation. The hair transplantation process takes about four to eight hours.

You should stop using herbal supplements, and other blood thinners that can directly or indirectly increase bleeding 1 week before your operation. Apart from these, please consult your doctor if you have any medication that you use regularly. Alcohol consumption should be ceased for 3 days before the operation.

Your transplanted hair is to start growing as from the 3. month after the operation. You will be able to see about 50% of the result as of the 6. month. Although the same process may extend up to 18 months, the patients generally reach the full result within a year.

Yes, it is. However, you must have sufficient donor area capacity. It may not be enough to provide coverage for scalp and beard at once. Please consult your doctor to be sure of that.
